I've spent more than a decade in sales, from making cold-calls to developing and pitching major proposals to managing a sales team, I have developed a passion for selling. While I don't profess to know it all, I've learned a great deal worth sharing. I've sold to C-level executives at Fortune 500 companies, to VC partners, to franchise owners and to front-line teams. I'm frequently asked to speak at women's networking events and new hire orientations.
I've seen so many millennials, young professionals and women 'opt-out' of a career in sales because they see it as inauthentic. They aren't taught to recognize their innate sales strengths. My mission is to encourage professionals to step outside their comfort-zone and pursue sales as a potentially rewarding career. My message is one of inner discovery presented through personal experiences, amusing adventures and fact-based research.
I have spoken on various panels and at events for Imperial Oil, ExxonMobil and the Schulich school of business. I've presented the Challenger Selling model, shared my personal story with women and millenials in sales and even started an internal podcast called Sales Unplugged for ExxonMobil.
I live just south of Toronto, Canada with my super husband, sweet son and our poorly-behaved dog. I obtained my undergrad in mechanical engineering from Queens' University and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg-Schulich joint program at Northwestern and York Universities. In my (limited) spare time I enjoy golf, photography and reading fiction and non-fiction.
