Find Purpose in the Function of Selling
Why are so many young people (...millennials...) opting out of Sales? One reason may be that it's hard to find purpose in what you're selling. But is it possible to find purpose in the function or craft of sales itself? I think so! From Queenstown, New Zealand, here are three questions to ask yourself to figure out what your "purpose in sales" may be...
1) What are the things that you're really good at? What do people praise you for in terms of your selling skills?
2) What are the things you regret not standing up for? As in, "Darn it! I wish I'd said xyz during that meeting!"
3) What gets you fired up? What are your 'hot button' issues? What do you stand up and fight for?
